If i change a tampon before 8 hours, should i be ok?

You are fine. TSS is really really rare these day, because tampon producers have changed the way they make them. You should still change your tampon every 4-6 hours or so (more if needed). If you have to go 8-9 hours every once in a while you will be fine, just don't do it all the time. Mostly, because you will be at risk for a becterial infection (itching, redness, odor), NOT TSS. And yes you can wear regular. Hope this helps.
