I just recently got my ears pierced and I'm having a bit of trouble with it, help?

I just got them pierced January 15th 2011, so about a week ago. They don't hurt anymore unless I'm messing with them (such as cleaning, and twisting them). The backings got shoved up to close while I was sleeping. Tonight, I am trying to pull them back. For some reason it hurts extremely bad to pull the backing away from my ear, but still on my earring. I had my ears pierced awhile ago and I had the same problem. I let them close up, and recently redid them. I am having the same problem. Is this normal? Will it go away? Should I see a doctor? I am cleaning them 3 times a day as well as twisting them as instructed.
