Is there any kind of 10g earring that has a groove for the o-ring that isn't twice as long as my ear is thick?

I'm sick of o-rings falling off the back of my earrings, but any ones that I find that have a groove for the o-ring are way too long and stick out the back of my ear twice as far as they have to. I can't get double flared ones through, unless someone has a suggestion for that too.
