its not easy to text on this phone, it has a prediction option that is optional but if you turn it off each key has two letters and you would have to tap for example A twice to enter S. messaging is not the way you explained but is similar, it sorts them by the day received. Mine lasted a while but it was charging me $30 extra, thats why i no longer use it. and for your last question,there is a button you can program to lock the phone and also an icon at the bottom of the chart of apps. i hope this was helpful
