OLTL: How was Christian able to order the "most expensive bottle of champagne" at the restaurant in France?

You gotta blame this on poor writing. It's like the writers don't ever take into account what soap characters do for a living or how much they might be able to spend. The characters all dress a bazillion times nicer than I do, although that's not really saying much... Couldn't they at least have Gigi or Nora make a comment about shopping the big sale at Logan's department store now and then?
